Following up on the original Sin Carausing the name and gimmick in Richard Negrín’s World Wrestling League, that's apparently not going to happen. While Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde has signed on to work for WWL, I received a Tweet stating they'll look to utilize him in a different gimmick to avoid problems with WWE.

The following is from Twitter:

@wnwdotcom@DCW_wrestling_ We are going to use the wrestler who was the original Sin Cara. Maybe with other name. We don't want problems.

Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde apparently plans to fight WWE over the Sin Cara name and gimmick but WWE had no comment when we reached out to them. We can confirm WWE owns the "Sin Cara" trademark after a search of The United States Patent and Trademark Office and the company plans to move forward with Hunico under the mask.

Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde's WWE Performer's Contract expired and was not renewed, making him free to work wherever he pleases.
