UPDATE: WWE has released the following statement regarding the situation - “WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”
It was only a matter of time before the #MeToo movement made its way to the world of professional wrestling.
According to a woman on Twitter with the handle @missgucciwitch, the event in question took place sometime back in mid-October when the current Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore had allegedly forced himself upon her while two friends left the room and did nothing.
The woman also stated that she was in a mental hospital for 45 days following the traumatic experiment and suffers from psychosis as a result of the incident.
