WWE Concerned About Crowd Reactions At Survivor Series

Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar

We’re hearing there is legitimate concern within WWE about the main event of Survivor Series between Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar on Nov. 20, 2016. It’s not the “ring rust” Goldberg displayed at Monday's Raw that’s causing the issue, it’s the unpredictable crowd reactions that have already damaged WWE in this program once (although who in their right mind thought Lesnar was going to get booed in Minnesota?).

Anyways, officials are concerned Lesnar will be the babyface at Survivor Series because it will emanate from Toronto and he’s a Canadian resident. Remember, he fought “out of Canada” in his fight at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt. The feeling is Lesnar will be the babyface and the crowd will make Goldberg the heel.

WWE is pushing Goldberg hard as the babyface and they’ve had Paul Heyman try and turn up the heat on Lensar. Remember what happened on Raw in Minnesota? Vince McMahon reportedly blew a gasket when that segment couldn’t be saved and ended it early.

Given the crowd reactions to Goldberg vs. Lesnar at Wrestlemania XX, one has to wonder if this bout just is not meant to be. Some have even speculated The Undertaker, who is appearing on Smackdown before Survivor Series, could be put on the show as a backup plan although we are unable to offer any validity to that speculation at press time.

We’ll continue to follow and update when we can right here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.
