Donald Trump was elected President of the United States in the early hours of Wednesday, becoming the first ever WWE Hall of Famer to win the country's highest office. President-elect Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States next year.
Trump, who is good friends with Vince McMahon, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013 by Vince. They did an angle in 2009 where Trump "bought" Raw only to "sell it back" two weeks later.
Perhaps Trump's most known involvement with WWE was the "Battle of the Billionaires" storyline at Wrestlemania 23 where he participated in an angle where Umaga faced Bobby Lashley. Umaga represented Vince McMahon and Lashley represented Trump. Lashley won and McMahon had his head shaved. Steve Austin was special guest referee and gave Stunners to everyone.
While Trump is the first WWE Hall of Famer to be elected President, he's not the only Hall of Famer to have success in politics. Jesse "The Body" Ventura, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004, was governor of the state of Minnesota.
