Kickoff

The WWE television open starts things off as we see a promo for WWE 2K14, which hits stores in the United States on Tuesday. They go to camera shots of fans entering the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Mathews introduces Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth and Kaitlyn.

Mathews asks Ziggler what intrigues him the most about Hell in a Cell. Ziggler says the World Heavyweight Championship match intrigues him the most. He questions if John Cena is returning too soon and he talks about Damien Sandow possibly "cashing in" on Alberto Del Rio. R-Truth agrees with him 120% but tonight at Hell in a Cell, we'll find out who will be the new WWE Champion and the new face of WWE.

Kaitlyn says it's possible that Daniel Bryan will win the WWE title. Kaitlyn talks about Brie Bella possibly winning the WWE Divas Championship and the real-life couple becoming a new power couple. Mathews sends us to Renee Young.

Young is in the social media lounge and talks about Hell in a Cell since it came to fruition in 1996. That leads us to tonight's poll… Who is Mr. Hell in a Cell?

The Undertaker
Shawn Michaels
Triple H
Randy Orton
Mick Foley

Backstage, The Miz tells Vickie Guerrero he wants Bray Wyatt in a match tonight after what they did to him on Smackdown. Vickie says he isn't medically cleared and she can't sanction a match for him. He says if she can't give him a match, there's going to be a fight and walks off.

They plug the 2 on 1 Handicap Hell in a Cell Match. Big E Langston joins the panel due to Curtis Axel being injured and their match being canceled. Langston says this is going to be a stiff test for CM Punk but it's a test he passed before and it's a test he'll pass again. Truth says Punk made his own stipulations. He talks about Paul being a liar and manipulator. He questions if Heyman will get got. Kaitlyn hopes Heyman gets got and says his relationship with Ryback has everyone feeling a little uncomfortable.

Ziggler says Heyman has made an entire career out of being devious and lying. He's a slime ball but has always found a way to come out on top.

Mathews promotes the WWE Tag Team Championship match tonight. We go to an interview with The Shield. Seth Rollins puts the blame for them losing the WWE Tag Team Championship on Big Show. Roman Reigns says it may appear the odds are stacked up against them tonight but they're The Shield, the odds are ever stacked in their favor. Big E Langston says it's funny they always talk about having the odds in their favor but isn't that because they always have Dean Ambrose ringside. Big E wants a match against Ambrose for the US title tonight. Ambrose says he's about preparing his men for battle tonight and he can take that somewhere else.

Ambrose tells Langston he's not even close to being a man that can carry the United States title. Ambrose asks him if he wants a lesson in manners and professionalism, he'll teach him one tonight. It appears they're doing Langston vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE United States Championship.

Ziggler puts over Langston and says he can win tonight. Mathews takes us to the John Cena return video package that aired on this week's TVs.

We're back in the AmericanAirlines arena at announce. Michael Cole introduces himself, JBL and Jerry Lawler. We're ready to go to the ring.

Singles Match

He says most importantly Mr. Cena is facing the man that holds his future crown. The World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio. Silence. Rest assure himself and his MITB contract will be watching the match very closely. You're welcome.

Kofi's music hits and the pyros explode as he energetically walks to the ring. Kofi's in red trunks.

The start:

The bell rings and the two guys lockup. Sandow pushes Kofi into the corner and kicks him down. Referee Mike Chioda tries to get Damien to back off but Kofi ends up fighting him off on his own.

Winner - Damien Sandow

We go to replays of the huricanrana spot from Kofi and Sandow's counter out of nowhere. Lawler mistakenly calls Sandow's finisher the Thank You (it's the You're Welcome).

We go back to Renee Young in the social media lounge. She reads some Tweets about the pay-per-view. We go back to the poll question.

The Undertaker 81%
Shawn Michaels 6%
Triple H 4%
Randy Orton 3%
Mick Foley 6%

Mathews talks up the pay-per-view, showing the slide for the Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton with HBK as the special guest referee. Kaitlyn says it comes down to Shawn Michaels. Will he do what's right or what's best for business?

R-Truth says it's a conspiracy and that Randy Orton is right in the middle of the whole mix. Truth says his favorite personally is Daniel Bryan. Ziggler says it comes down for creating a superstar and what's best for WWE. He picks Randy Orton even though he can't stand him. He says he is better than Daniel Bryan.

That'll do it as I'll hand things over to Sean Hopkins for his pay-per-view coverage. Catch me on Twitter Twitter.com/wnwdotcom. They're opening the pay-per-view with the WWE Tag Team Championship Match.

He tells Bray Wyatt to get out of his rocking chair and calls Luke Harper and Erick Rowan hillbillies. He demands Bray come to the ring. Bray is on the big screen and cuts another creepy promo. The power goes out in the ring and Rowan and Harper are in the ring.

We get a recap of Punk winning the Beat the Clock challenge two weeks ago to set the stipulation for this match as the Cell begins lowering from the ceiling.

The entrances:

CM Punk is the first man to make his way to the ring, and unsurprisingly, he gets a great pop from the crowd on his way out.

Ryback is out next, but he's without Paul Heyman. Ryback shakes the cage, and makes his way into the cell.

Heyman is in a scissor lift, and Ryback smiles as Paul is driven down to the ring by someone who doesn't seem to know how to drive it.

Heyman has a mic, and he says his name is Paul Heyman and he's the best in Hell. Little did Punk know when he was just breaking in that he sold his soul to the devil. The lift is going up. Heyman says he's Satan himself in the WWE. And Ryback is the man who's going to collect Punk's soul, for all the dirty deeds done on Heyman's behalf. Heyman steps on the cage roof and says he's ascended to the top of the world from the depths of Hell. He's Paul Heyman, and he owns Punk.

Ryback runs into a boot in the corner, and Punk scores with a springboard cross body, and a big dropkick to the knee. Punk runs into the corner with the high knee, and he rolls to the apron.

Ryback hits Punk with a big powerslam for another two count, and getting frustrated, he pulls down his straps. The start:

Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro are out next with Zeb Coalter. Coalter's got a mic and he says it's funny that tonight is called Hell in a Cell, because their opponents belong in cells because they're criminals, and about 80% of the crowd probably is too. Zeb also calls out Torito, saying he assaulted and attacked a United States war veteran in Coalter. He's embarrassed that they have to breathe the same air as these three tonight, and that's no bull. Zeb gets a nice little 'we the people' out of the crowd, and we're ready to begin.

Mid-match notes:

Cena picks Del Rio up and breaks the hold by powerbombing him to the mat. Cena shoulders Del Rio again, but Del Rio fights out. Another attempts at the AA, and Cena gets it. Cena pins Del Rio for three.
