NXT Results 1/14/15 - Sami Zayn Proves He Isn't A One Hit Wonder

We open with the awesome new intro showcasing Sami Zayn's NXT Championship win!

Tyson Kidd vs. Finn Balor:

Tyson out first to a moderate amount of heat, followed by Balor with a large pop!

Bell rings and Balor immediately connects with a big dropkick! Balor to the top for the double stomp, but missed. Balor connects with chops. Tyson to the outside, and Balor rolls him back in. Tyson out the other end and suckers Balor to be driven into the barricade. Tyson rolls Balor back in and hits a neckbreaker on him and an elbow for a one count.

We see a break and Tyson is still in control. Tyson gets Balor in a tree of woe and starts stomping him. Ground headlock, and Balor starts recovering before he hits a Pele Kick! More offence from Balor before he hits a spinning neckbreaker, followed by a big kick and dive to the outside! Back inside, Balor hits a top rope dragon screw, and Tyson counters with a big kick! Tyson with a springboard elbow for 2. He follows into a Sharpshooter, which Balor somehow manages to get to the bottom rope. Balor Counters Tyson and pulls him into the lifting underhook DDT, and hits the big stomp for 3.

Winner: Finn Balor

We go to announce, where they are talking up the NXT Championship rematch between Sami Zayn and Adrian Nevelle that will happen tonight. We get a video package of their past. As announce runs though the rest of the night, they send it to the back for an interview with Bull Dempsey. Bull brings up that Corbin isn't the only undefeated superstar in NXT and that this is his end of days. And after the match, all he will hear is "Bull! Bull! Bull!"

Baron Corbin vs. Bull Dempsey:

Hard, clubbing blow between both men to start. Bull whips Corbin into the corner, and more blows and Irish whips until Bull slides out of the ring. Ref gets to 7 and they roll each other in. Bull gets Corbin down and goes for the diving headbutt, but misses. Corbin hits Bull with the End of days, and it is all over.

Winner: Baron Corbin

Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte and Natalya

Natalya and Lynch start, and we get some good chain wrestling to start until Natalya rolls up Lynch for a one count. Lynch with a stiff elbow to Natalya, and Natalya hits her with multiple in return. Natalya and Charlotte baseball slide to the outside and bring Lynch back in. Tag, and a double suplex followed by a pin for one. Another tag and double team, and another one count. Lynch scurries into a tag to Banks, and Natalya hit her with a Russian leg sweep. Stepover, followed by a dropkick by Natalya for a 2 count. Banks able to whip Natalya into the corner, and gets her placed in for the double knees for 2. Banks with a submission that Natalya escapes for a hot tag. Charlotte with hot chops into a neckbreaker for a two. Lynch and Banks whip Charlotte into the ropes, and Banks hits a neckbreaker of her own and get some tights to get the 3 on Charlotte.

Winners: Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch

NXT Championship Match:

Sami Zayn (C) vs. Adrian Neville

We get formal ring introductions from JoJo Offerman, and then the bell rings. We also get a Code of Honor. Both men open up and feel each other out, and Neville gets the first takedown with an arm drag. Zayn with a headlock, followed by a whip, in which Neville gets a head scissors takedown. More feeling out, and a show that they know each other so well they can counter before they even perform the move. Some talking, followed by a hard elbow! clubbing blows, and Zayn gets sent to the outside. Neville goes high risk, and hits Zayn with a plancha.

Break, and we return with Neville in control. Whip, and a nasty European uppercut by Neville for two. Zayn into a corner, counters Neville's rush and hits a crossbody foayn and Neville hit each other with a series of counters before Neville hits a big hurricanrana for 2. Neville tries for the Red Arrow, but Zayn stops him before he could. Blows by Neville, and Zayn pulls out the Blue Thunder Bomb out of nowhere for 2! Zayn gets up and is able to hit Neville with 2 German suplexes and tries for the half and half suplex, but Neville lands on his feet. Hard elbow by Neville, and flips into an electric chair hurricanrana on Zayn for 2 and 3/4! The ref is concerned, and is checking on Zayn. Zayn refuses to let the match stop, and almost gets Neville into the Coji Clutch. Exploder suplex, and tries for the Helluva kick, but Neville slides out. Zayn goes out and tries for the dive throught DDT he did at REvolution, but Neville hits a superkick. Neville up for the Red Arrow, but misses. Zayn misses with another Helluva, and Neville rolls him up for a two! Zayn with an exploder suplex into the corner, and connects with the Helluva for 3!

Winner: Sami Zayn

We see tons of great highlights of the match, and Sami in the corner, proud with his title. As he crosses the ring, Kevin Owens hits the ring, attacks Zayn, and powerbombs him yet again. As he looks down on Sami, he kicks the NXT Championship at his head for resounding boos.
