The show starts with a video package showcasing Kevin Owens vs. John Cena at Elimination Chamber. Owens pulled off the win with the pop-up powerbomb.
General Manager William Regal has a major announcement tonight regarding Kevin Owens and the NXT Championship. Finn Balor vs. Rhyno is our main event.
Tyler Breeze makes his way to the ring for the opening match. Adam Rose makes his way to the ring alone. Rich Brennan, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves hype Rose being by himself now on commentary.
Tyler Breeze vs. Adam Rose
Lock up, Breeze takes Rose to the corner. Rose reverses roles as they end up in the next corner. The split and circle the ring. Lock up again, Rose takes Breeze to the corner for a few seconds. Rose kicks Breeze and chops him in the corner. Rose takes Breeze to the next corner for another chop. Rose takes Breeze down with a side-headlock take down. Quick cover, Rose continues to apply the hold on the mat, Breeze tries to get up, Rose takes him back down for a two count. Breeze gets up and shoves Rose off. Rose hits a shoulder block. They run around each other until Breeze clotheslines Rose. Breeze dropkicks Rose off the apron and out of the ring. Back in the ring, Breeze covers Rose, one. Breeze whips Rose, who stays in the ring. Rose tosses Breeze over his shoulders and out of the ring.
Rose hits a snap suplex and covers. Rose gets up and drops a few punches, cover. Rose locks Breeze up with a sleeper as Breeze is on his knees. Breeze drops to the mat. Breeze works his way out with elbows. Breeze slaps Rose. Breeze takes Rose down with a hurricanrana and then punches Rose. Rose kicks Breeze in the corner and follows it up with a corner clothesline and big boot in the middle of the ring. Rose overs for a two. Breeze flips over Rose and sends a kick. Breeze whips Rose into the corner and flies onto him with two forearm strikes. Rose hits a spinebuster into a pin. Breeze kicks out and Rose reverses it into a Boston Crab.
Breeze reaches the bottom rope. Rose kicks Breeze off of the apron before hitting an elbow drop outside the ring. Back in the ring, Rose runs but turns around into a Beauty Shot. Breeze covers for the win.
Winner: Tyler Breeze - by pinfall (8:53)
Solomon Crowe is backstage for an interview and says when he's back, he will be better than ever. Crowe says he'll be back in the ring as NXT Champion.
Dana Brooke is out of the country at an Arnold Competition and will be back in the ring soon.
Greg Hamilton welcomes out Eva Marie to the stage. Greg welcomes Eva as she is heavily booed. Eva says she was at TakeOver to see what the women of NXT and all the buzzing was all about. The women of NXT are revolutionizing this business. Eva is hoping for the opportunity to wrestle in NXT.
William Regal is backstage talking about WWE's live event in Tokyo, Japan, on July 4th. John Cena, Chris Jericho, and Brock Lesnar will be there, as well as several former NXT stars. At that event, Finn Balor will face Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship. The title match will air live exclusively on the WWE Network.
Carmella, Enzo Amore, and Big Cass make their way to the ring. Alexa Bliss, Blake and Murphy make their way to the ring. Bliss is wearing red gear and has red streaks in her hair.
Carmella vs. Alexa Bliss
Carmella jumps on Bliss, taking her down with punches. Carmella jumps on her two more times with punches. Bliss throws a punch and whips Carmella into the corner. Bliss slams Carmella down by pulling her hair, cover. Bliss cranks Carmella's head to the side. Bliss continues to crank her head. Carmella gets out and takes Bliss down with shoulderblocks. Carmella boots Bliss across the head before taking Bliss to the corner with a spear. Carmella hits a backbreaker, but Bliss rolls her up and holds the rope for the win.
Winner: Alexa Bliss - by pinfall (3:31)
Bliss celebrates on Blake and Murphy's shoulders on the ramp.
Rhyno is backstage for an interview. Rhyno says he enjoyed going to war with Baron Corbin. But now it's time for him to take his place in NXT. Finn Balor is the top competitor, but his theatrics and mind games aren't going to phase a man-beast. Rhyno says he will gore Balor and be one step closer to being NXT Champion.
Corey Graves hypes the rematch between Kevin Owens and John Cena at Money in the Bank.
A video package on Sami Zayn's surgery airs. Zayn talks about when he suffered the injury before and during his Raw match with John Cena. Zayn worked the match with Kevin Owens, but now is undergoing surgery. The doctor says it's like a dislocation. The doc says he had a torn rotator cuff. The surgery was a success.
Aiden English and Simon Gotch of The Vaudevillains make their way to the ring. Jason Jordan and Marcus Louis are in the ring.
The Vaudevillains vs. Jason Jordan & Marcus Louis
Louis and Jordan argue about who starts the match. Louis and Gotch start with a lock up. Gotch applies a headlock. Louis takes Gotch to the corner. Gotch works the left arm and tags English. The Vaudevillains double team with punches. Aiden covers. Louis is whipped into the face corner where Jordan tags in. Jordan hits a backdrop onto English, cover. Jordan lifts English and slams him again. Jordan applies a chin lock on the mat for awhile. English forces Jordan to the face corner where Louis tags in.
Louis grabs English's jaw bone. English gets rolled up. Louis yells at English and grabs English's jaw bone again. English manages to get away and tags Gotch. Simon clotheslines Louis and hits a a running uppercut. English gets the tag and hits a neckbreaker for the win.
Winners: The Vaudevillains - by pinfall (5:14)
Jordan and Louis argue outside the ring as The Vaudevillains pose and celebrate in the ring.
We see a video package on NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks.
Finn Balor says Japan, the country where he built his career and won 11 titles in. To say he's excited is an understatement. But he isn't overlooking Kevin Owens for one second. Balor saw what Owens did to Zayn and Cena, but Owens is about to meet the demon. Owens may walk in to Tokyo as champion, but Finn Balor is walking out with the title.
Rhyno makes his way to the ring. Finn Balor makes his way to the ring.
Rhyno vs. Finn Balor
Lock up, Rhyno shoves Balor down. Lock up again, Rhyno works the left arm. Balor rolls through and tries to work his way out, but is taken down. Balor kicks up and tries working out again. Balor throws Rhyno off of him and Rhyno runs the ropes until Balor connects with a dropkick. Rhyno runs back in the ring with a shoulderblock, stopping Balor dead in his tracks. Rhyno chops Balor and throws him in the corner head-first. Rhyno chops Balor again before kicking him. Another chop follows. Rhyno whips Balor back into the corner where he drives his shoulders into him. Balor clubs Rhyno in the opposite corner. Rhyno goes up top, but Balor kicks him in the head and Rhyno falls out of the ring. Balor flips over the ropes and onto Rhyno.
Back from break, Balor is driven into the corner back-first upside down. Rhyno body slams Balor and covers him for a two. Rhyno covers Balor for a one-count a few times while wrapping him up with his legs. Rhyno flattens Balor and pins again. Balor gets up to the corner. Rhyno gets up and clotheslines him. Rhyno mocks Balor by raising his arms. Balor comes back with forearm strikes. Rhyno lifts Balor and throws him down, cover for two. Rhyno applies a chin lock. Balor works his way out and is whipped into the corner. Balor chops Rhyno.
Balor goes up top and hits a flying forearm, two. Rhyno plants Balor with a spinebuster, cover for two. Balor dodges a clothesline and hits the pelee kick. Balor connects with the sling blade. Balor gets to his feet first and goes to the corner. Balor dropkicks Rhyno into the corner and throws him to the middle. Rhyno dodges the foot stomp. Rhyno runs into an empty corner where Balor rolls him up for the three.
Winner: Finn Balor - by pinfall (8:42)
Balor celebrates on the ramp until Rhyno spears him on the stage. Rhyno leaves Balor laying to end the show.
