The show starts with a brief video package looking at Apollo Crews vs. Finn Balor tonight for the NXT Championship.

Rich Brennan welcomes us to the show as Byron Saxton and Corey Graves are also on commentary.

Asuka makes her way to the ring for the opening match. Cameron makes her way to the ring.

Asuka vs. Cameron

Lock up, Cameron takes Asuka to the corner and they split. Asuka catches Cameron's leg and flips her down into an arm bar. They get to their feet. Cameron kicks Asuka and goes for a couple covers. Cameron takes Asuka back down with a suplex, followed by a split leg drop. Cameron applies a headlock, but Asuka flips Cameron over and nails her with a spinning kick. Cameron fires back with punches but is taken down with another kick. Asuka kicks Cameron into the corner. Asuka takes Cameron down into another arm lock. Back on their feet, Asuka strikes and kicks her. Asuka applies the Asuka Lock and Cameron taps.

Winner: Asuka - by submission (3:38)

The announcers welcome us once again. They discuss Dash & Dawson making a statement last week. We see footage of their vicious attack on Enzo & Big Cass. Tom Phillips is backstage with Carmella. She says Cass is going to be out for a little bit with a sprained MCL. Dash & Dawson interrupt and discuss the attack. Dawson announces they will challenge The Vaudevillains for the NXT Tag Team Championship next week.

Earlier today: Jason Jordan & Chad Gable are backstage. Jordan brings up fans still talking about their match at NXT TakeOver: Respect. Gable tries to convince him that they are still on their way up. Gable hints at being The World's Greatest Tag Team, which Jordan reminds Chad not to call them that. Jordan suggests they challenge the greatest tag team in NXT history... The Ascension. Gable issues the official challenge.

Bull Dempsey makes his way to the ring for the next match. Angelo Dawkins enters with Sawyer Fulton accompanying him.

Bull knees Dawkins and does a roll over him. Dawkins with an arm drag, but Bull reverses it into a headlock on the mat. Dawkins clubs Bull and kicks him repeatedly, cover. Dawkins holds Bull in a lock briefly. Bull gets out and paces the ring as Dawkins tries punching him. Bull throws several blows to the gut. Bull squashes Angelo in the corner before running over him. Bull goes up top and sits on Dawkins for the win.

Winner: Bull Dempsey - by pinfall (2:52)

Sawyer Fulton looks disappointed after the match and walks away from Dawkins.

Backstage, Tom Phillips presents The Vaudevillains with Dash & Dawson's wheel chair. English says their climb to the NXT gold was not pretty. English says they plan on beating Dash & Dawson next week. Gotch says he & English are gentlemen and will maintain their status as NXT Tag Team Champions. English pushes the wheel chair off camera.

Tom Phillips asks Bayley if she was able to find partners for Alexa Bliss' six-person tag challenge. Bayley introduces The Hype Bros. Mojo and Ryder say they will take care of Alexa's lap dogs next week.

Eva Marie makes her way to the ring. Marley is already in the ring.

Eva and Marley lock up. Marley shoves Eva down with hits a hip toss, cover. Eva hits a suplex, cover. Eva applies a hold on the left arm. Marley works her way out and kicks Eva across the face, dropkicks follow. Marley is knocked down with a boot from Eva. Eva strikes Marley and covers for the win.

Winner: Eva Marie - by pinfall (2:40)

Tom Phillips asks Emma if she is scared of Asuka. Emma says Asuka has her respect, but she doesn't appreciate Asuka being up in her face with the weird smile. Dana Brooke calls Asuka patting her on her head childish. Dana wants another shot at her, but Emma says Dana will have to wait her turn.

Apollo Crews makes his way to the ring for the main event. NXT Champion Finn Balor makes his way to the ring last. Greg Hamilton introduces them with the special spotlights, giving this the much-needed big fight feel. They shake hands as the title is raised.

NXT Championship Match: Finn Balor (c) vs. Apollo Crews

Lock up, Crews immediately covers Balor. Balor applies a headlock and takes Crews down. Crews with a quick headlock, and a few quick moves later, they kick up and face each other.


We come back to Balor down in a headlock. Balor gets to his feet. They dodge each other's moves until Crews connects with a big dropkick. Crews splashes into the corner but then runs into a dropkick, cover. Balor grounds Crews with a headlock. Crews does a stalling vertical suplex, cover. Balor gets in a kick, cover. Balor wraps Apollo's left arm around his face. Crews fights out of the hold. Balor rolls through a sunset flip and dropkicks Crews into a cover. Balor applies the arm/headlock again. Balor rolls Crews up, Crews rolls through and dropkicks. Clotheslines from Crews, followed by a corner splash. Crews kicks, Balor counters with a kick to the head, knocking Crews to the outside. Balor dives out onto Apollo.


Balor chops Crews in the corner a few times. Balor clotheslines, cover. Balor tries to lift Apollo, but is caught and thrown to the mat, cover. Crews nails a kick, Balor follows it up with the sling blade. Balor goes for the corner dropkick when Crews counters with a clothesline. Crews hits the Gorilla Press, but Balor gets his knees up on the moonsault. Crews kicks out of the reverse suplex. Corner dropkick connects, but Crews dodges Coupe de Grace. Crews hits a bicycle kick, Balor counters with an enziguri. Baron Corbin runs down and causes the match to be thrown out.

No Contest (11:02)

Corbin targets Crews by sending him into the ring steps. Corbin gets in the ring and attacks Balor. Samoa Joe runs down to chase Corbin out. Joe turns around and clotheslines Balor. Joe unloads with punches in the corner. Joe lays Balor out with the Muscle Buster. Joe places the NXT Title across Finn's body before leaving the ring.
