Tom Phillips and Corey Graves welcome us to the show.

Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring for the opening match. Adam Rose enters.

Sami Zayn vs. Adam Rose

Zayn and Rose lock up, Zayn works the left wrist. Rose briefly reverses the hold before Zayn whips Rose to the mat by the wrist. Zayn with an arm drag, holds Rose down again by wrapping up the left arm. Sami dropkicks Rose in the back of the head. Rose gets to his feet and slaps Zayn across the chest. Rose drops several elbows and hits a clothesline. Rose covers and turns his focus to a headlock. Rose knees Zayn right in the gut and chops him in the corner a few times. Zayn goes up top, but Rose hits the ropes to make Sami fall to the mat. Rose goes up top and drops with a headbutt, cover for two. Zayn traps Rose in the Koji Clutch and makes him tap for the win.

Winner: Sami Zayn - by pinfall

Phillips and Graves hype Johnny Gargano vs. Samoa Joe, which will be tonight's main event. Rich Brennan interviews Gargano backstage, asking him if he's ready. Johnny calls Joe one of the most accomplished wrestlers in this industry. Gargano says you handle a bully by punching them in the mouth. Johnny Wrestling will not back down.

Jason Jordan & Chad Gable are outside for an interview, discussing not being nominated for NXT Tag Team of the Year. They bring up beating Blake & Murphy in London, and they were one of the teams nominated. Jordan & Gable challenge them to a match next week. They decide on a team name - American Alpha.

Tye Dillinger makes his way to the ring. Apollo Crews enters next.

Tye Dillinger vs. Apollo Crews

Lock up, Crews takes Tye to the corner. Dillinger grabs the left arm and takes Apollo down. Tye tries to apply pressure on the wrist, but Crews kicks up. Tye applies a headlock and takes Crews right back down. Dillinger does a cart wheel and several 10 chants before Crews nails him with a big dropkick. Dillinger unloads with punches until Crews catches him and lifts Tye up over his head. Tye tries to get out, but Crews falls to finish the suplex.

Crews hops to the apron and Tye grabs his foot from underneath him. Tye flies out of the ring out onto Crews. They get back in and Tye nails Apollo's head against his knee, cover for two. Dillinger places Crews on top of the turnbuckle, but Apollo counters with a spear. Crews nails a boot to the neck before dropping him with a big sit out powerbomb. Crews covers for the win.

Winner: Apollo Crews - by pinfall

Crews grabs a mic and says he's not the type of guy that likes a match that ends in disqualification. Apollo wants to finish what was started a few months ago. He knows he hasn't earned a title match, and that's not what he's asking for. What he does want is a one-on-one match with Finn Balor.

Blake & Murphy with Alexa Bliss are backstage discussing the challenge from American Alpha. Bliss yells at the interviewer and talks for the boys. She ends up yelling at them for humiliating her in London because they went out there and blew it. Bliss says they are better than what they showed in London. Bliss is going to team with Emma now to lead by example. It will be quite Bliss-tasteful.

We see a vignette on The Vaudevillains. It appears they are turning heel.

Phillips discusses the Midwest Road Trip tour that took place this past weekend. Kevin Owens confronted Sami Zayn unexpectedly in Milwaukee.

Baron Corbin makes his way to the ring. Rich Swann makes his way to the ring for his NXT TV debut.

Baron Corbin vs. Rich Swann

Swann ducks a clothesline and kicks Corbin in the leg. They lock up and Corbin tosses Swann into the corner. Swann is slammed to the mat before Corbin kicks him in the corner. Swann kicks Corbin's leg again and he begins to hobble. Corbin flips Swann over his shoulders, allowing Rich to do a 450 slam onto the mat. Corbin whips Swann into the opposite corner. Corbin wraps Swann up in an arm/headlock and whips him around. Swann with a tilt-aw-whirl head scissors takes Corbin down. Swann covers for a nearfall. Corbin plants Swann with the Deep 6 for the win.

Winner: Baron Corbin - by pinfall

Brennan is backstage with Bayley & Carmella as they prepare for a tag match tonight. Last week, Carmella became number one contender to Bayley's title. Carmella says they will have to put friendship aside, but tonight, they team up to face Alexa Bliss & Emma. Bayley says tonight, it's not about the title, it's about taking down Bliss & Emma.

Dash & Dawson interrupt and turn the conversation about Enzo & Big Cass. Dawson says Carmella is all fluff and no scuff, just like Enzo & Cass. Bayley holds Carmella back from attacking them.

Emma makes her way to the ring with Dana Brooke accompanying her. Alexa Bliss enters and there's a little bit of tension between Emma and Bliss because Emma was the one that eliminated Alexa from the battle royal last week. Carmella enters next, followed by NXT Women's Champion Bayley.

Emma & Alexa Bliss vs. Carmella & Bayley

Emma takes Carmella out before the bell rings. Bliss and Emma beat down on Bayley before they separate to their own corners. Emma and Bayley start the match. Emma goes right on the attack with punches and kicks into the heel corner. Bliss is tagged and she rams Bayley into the turnbuckle. Emma comes back in with kicks. Bliss & Emma slam Bayley down head-first.

Bliss has Bayley in an arm lock on the mat as we come back from break. Bliss rams Bayley into the corner. Bayley nails a spinning elbow from the top on Bliss. Emma gets the tag and stops Bayley from reaching her corner.
