Tom Phillips welcomes us to the show as we are one week away from TakeOver. Corey Graves is also on commentary.

Dash & Dawson make their way down to the ring. Next week, they will challenge American Alpha for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Dash starts by saying they will take back their titles to become the first-ever 2 time NXT Tag Champs. Dawson says they have enough decency to admit that American Alpha are great amateur athletes, but this is the big leagues.

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa interrupt. Once in the ring, Dash asks them what they are doing here. Ciampa tells them their time at the top has come and gone. He states that everyone knows American Alpha is the best. Ciampa even goes on to say that The Revival can't beat him and Gargano.

Dawson says enough of the disrespect and games. He tells Ciampa & Gargano to go back to their bingo halls to let the top guys handle the top business. Ciampa brings up Dallas again, where The Revival lost. Dash tries to say that at least he and Dawson were champions. The Revival exits the ring when Gargano grabs a mic and says they are walking up that ramp pretty fast for top guys. Dash & Dawson turn back to the ring, but Ciampa and Gargano take them out.

Cathy Kelly interviews Nakamura backstage about next week's match against Austin Aries. Nakamura says he thinks Aries will bow down to the King of Strongstyle. Aries faces Elias Samson tonight.


Tye Dillinger makes his way out to the ring for the first match. Buddy Murphy enters next by himself.

Tye Dillinger vs. Buddy Murphy

They lock hands to start before Murphy backs up under the ropes. They lock up in the middle of the ring. Dillinger flips Murphy through and proceeds to chant 10 in his face. Dillinger does an arm drag into a lock on the mat. Tye works the fingers, stretching them back. Murphy gets to his feet and delivers a punch in the corner, cover. Murphy gets Tye up for several clotheslines, cover. Murphy applies a headlock on the mat to keep Tye grounded.

Dillinger manages to roll Murphy up out of the lock. Tye does some chops and a Thesz press. Murphy is whipped across the ring and sent flying with a back body drop. Dillinger punches Murphy nine times in the corner. Dillinger nails a superkick and delivers the tenth punch. Dillinger connects with the back slam onto his right knee for the win.

Winner: Tye Dillinger - by pinfall (5:12)

Corey Graves Interviews Samoa Joe & Finn Balor

Graves asks Finn Balor what is was like in Lowell when Joe beat him for the NXT Title. Finn says it was something he never saw coming and he was speechless. Balor says he doesn't regret defending the title, though, because that's a champion's job. Graves asks Joe what is was like to accomplish his goal. Joe says he got what he deserved. Joe went through Sami Zayn and a battle royal to get a title shot. Balor says that's the problem - Joe felt like he was entitled.

Joe says no one is more deserving than him. Balor says maybe the others that deserve the shot weren't complaining like Joe was. Joe says Balor never wanted to give him a shortcut. Joe says he helped Balor win the Tag Team Classic. But Balor wouldn't grant him a title match. Balor asks Joe what happened to the guy that had his back. Joe asks Balor why he didn't just give Joe the title shot to begin with. Joe says he's won gold everywhere he's been. Balor says he has done the same.

Graves takes us back to London and Dallas. He brings up Balor admitting not being able to actually beat Joe - he just survived. Finn says that's exactly what happened. Finn has never been in a steel cage match, and maybe it puts him in an advantage. Joe says he has the advantage because he's been in a cage. Joe talks about Dallas where they were pulling him out of the ring due to medical reasons, but it just to save Balor.

Graves asks Balor if he knows the risk he is making putting his career on the line against Joe in a cage. Balor says he's living in the moment; the NXT Title is everything right now. Joe says it's an opportunity to show certain people where their place is. Graves wishes both men luck as we are seven days away from the huge rematch.


Elias Samson makes his way to the ring for the next match. Austin Aries enters next. Aries faces Nakamura next week.

Elias Samson vs. Austin Aries

They lock up, Samson applies a headlock. Samson works the left arm and Aries flips up out of it to reverse the hold. Aries drags Samson to the mat with the lock still in. Samson manages to break free in the corner. Aries eats a shoulderblock. Aries does a couple arm drags. Samson applies a head scissors out of it. Aries gets up, hits a dropkick, and covers. Samson pulls Aries against the top rope throat-first. Samson stomps on Aries as the crowd heavily boos.

Samson does another shoulderblock and covers. Elias locks in a half nelson. Aries does a suplex to get Samson off of him. Aries chops Samson a few times before nailing a clothesline. Aries does an elbow drop to the back of the neck from the turnbuckle. Aries goes flying out of the ring. Back in the ring, Aries connects with the rolling elbow and the corner dropkick. Aries hits a neckbreaker and applies Last Chancery for the win.

Winner: Austin Aries - by submission (4:32)

Aries grabs a mic and says he's proven it time and time again in this ring. Aries says he will remove any doubts and make it official that he's the greatest in this ring. The spotlight will shine where it belongs... on Austin Aries.

A vignette for Andrade "Cien" Almas airs. It appears he will debut at TakeOver.

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa enter. Dash & Dawson enter next.

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa vs. The Revival

Gargano and Dawson start the match with a lock up. Dawson applies a headlock on Johnny. Dawson hits a couple shoulderblocks until Gargano catches him off guard with arm drags and dropkicks. Dash eats a back elbow when he runs in. Ciampa tags and they double team Dawson with elbows and knees, cover. Ciampa takes a punch to the gut from Dawson before they trade shots in the corner.

Ciampa clotheslines Dawson several times before kneeing Dash off the apron. Dawson trips Ciampa out of the ring. While the ref is distracted, Dash clotheslines Ciampa.


Back from break, Dash has Ciampa wrapped up in a left ankle twist. Ciampa rolls Dash up when Dash went for the hold again. Both prevent the other from making a tag at first. Dawson manages to get in as The Revival double teams Ciampa outside the ring. Dawson catches Ciampa on his way to a tag. Dash tags in to work the left leg again. Ciampa with a sunset flip as Dawson made the tag. Dawson can't stop Ciampa from tagging Gargano.

Johnny comes in hot with strikes, knees, and a roll up out of the corner. Dash breaks the cover. Dawson nails Gargano with a DDT, Ciampa breaks the cover. Dash takes Ciampa out of the ring. Dawson places Gargano up top for a chop to the chest. Gargano punches Dawson off of him, but Dawson nails an elbow to the face. Dawson goes all the way up and nails a top rope superplex on Johnny. Gargano reverses the cover and pins Dawson for three!

Winners: Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa - by pinfall (7:10)

Dash & Dawson viciously attack Gargano & Ciampa. Ciampa is laid out with the Shatter Machine. They go to do more when American Alpha run down to take out The Revival. Jordan is on Dawson, while Gable works on Dash. They hit double suplexes together. The Revival recollects outside the ring and walk off.


Women's Title Contract Signing

William Regal is in the ring and says it's his pleasure to moderate this contract signing for next week's NXT Women's Championship match at TakeOver. Nia Jax enters, followed by Asuka. Neither are in ring gear. Jax steals the mic from Regal. Jax says everyone has been running scared from Asuka for months now, but all she's done is kick people in the head and beat Bayley. Nia says she broke Bayley, as well as the heart and soul of NXT. Jax tells Asuka she's never faced anyone like her. Jax says she's the future and she's not scared of Asuka before signing the contract.

Asuka tells Jax she talks too much. Asuka signs the contract and screams at Jax in Japanese. If Jax isn't scared of Asuka, she should be. Jax pushes Asuka. Asuka unloads with kicks and strikes until Nia catches her with a slam. Jax exits the ring as Asuka lays holding her head in the ring to end the show.
