Tom Phillips & Corey Graves welcome us to the show as The King of Strongstyle is back.

Shinsuke Nakamura makes his way out to the ring to kick things off. Wesley Blake makes his way to the ring with new entrance music and a new gimmick. Earlier today - Blake and Murphy argue backstage about them splitting up. Blake says he will prove himself when he beats Nakamura. Murphy says he'll face Kota Ibushi.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Wesley Blake

Lock up, Nakamura takes Blake to the ropes. Blake shoves him off before locking up again. Blake applies a headlock. They both run the ropes, dodging each other's moves. Nakamura catches Blake's blown kisses and squashes them on the mat. Knee drop connects from Nakamura. Good Vibrations follows in the corner. Nakamura does it one more time as the crowd chants for it. Blake kicks Nakamura in the gut, followed by a clothesline. Blake covers for a one.

Blake does a knee drop from the ropes, cover. Blake drives his knee into Nakamura and applies a chinlock. Nakamura runs into an elbow for another cover. Nakamura manages to catch Blake's boot and unloads with kicks and strikes. Nakamura places Blake across the turnbuckle for a knee to the ribs. Reverse Exploder is is hit, followed by Kinshasa for the win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura - by pinfall (4:30)

William Regal comes to the stage for an announcement. Regal says the main event of NXT TakeOver: Back 2 Brooklyn will see Samoa Joe defend the NXT Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura!

Billie Kay makes her way to the ring for the next match. The commentators note that Kay made her SmackDown debut a few weeks ago against Dana Brooke. Santana Garrett enters next.

Billie Kay vs. Santana Garrett

Lock up, Billie tosses Santana over her shoulders. They get to their feet and lock up again. Kay locks Garrett's left arm up in the middle of the ring. Santana slips through and nails a dropkick. Kay connects with a clothesline out of the corner, cover. Kay holds Santana in the corner with her foot until the four count. Kay hits a suplex, cover. Santana is wrapped up in a choke hold until she backs Billie up into a corner. Santana delivers right forearm strikes and headbutt. Santana follows it with a splash in the corner. Kay counters with a big running boot for the win.

Winner: Billie Kay - by pinfall (3:08)

We see images of Bayley's debut at Battleground as Sasha Banks' mystery partner.

Bayley confronts William Regal in his office. She begs him for her rematch against Asuka to take place in Brooklyn, where she first won the title last year.

TM61 make their way to the ring for a tag match. Rob Ryzin and Adrian Nails are already in the ring.

Thorne starts the match against Nails with a lock up. Miller tags in, TM61 double teams Adrian in the corner. Thorne tags back in with a rolling senton into the ring. Miller comes back in as TM61 does the standing moonsault and drop of the fist double team move. Thorne gets tripped in the heel corner, allowing Ryzin to tag in. Rob unloads with punches to the head. Rob drops Thorne to his knee before applying a chinlock. Nails sends Ryzin into an empty corner, so Thorne sends Ryzin into Nails. Miller tags in and clotheslines Nails in the corner a couple times before a spinebuster is hit. Thorne tags in and TM61 hit Thunder Valley for the win.

Winners: TM61 - by pinfall (3:05)

TM61 shakes hands with Ryzin & Nails after the match.

We see footage of Austin Aries attacking No Way Jose last month. We then see footage of Jose attacking Aries two weeks ago.

Hideo Itami returns to NXT TV next week.

No Way Jose makes his way to the ring. Steve Cutler enters next.

No Way Jose vs. Steve Cutler

Cutler applies a waistlock to start. Jose dances his way out of it. Jose applies a headlock and dances with it in. Cutler fires back with a kick to the gut and a punch to the face. Jose gets furious and unloads with strikes. Jose drops Cutler with a modified arm drag. Jose connects with the pitching punch and body slam for the win.

Winner: No Way Jose - by pinfall (1:54)

Jose cuts a promo on Austin Aries taking advantage of him. Jose calls the Greatest Man That Ever Lived the Biggest Coward in NXT. Jose says next time he and Aries meet, there will be no running. Jose promises to whoop his @$$.


Buddy Murphy comes out to his original music he used with Blake. CWC competitor Kota Ibushi enters to a big pop.

Lock up, Murphy applies a headlock. Murphy takes Ibushi down with shoulderblocks. Ibushi counters with a big dropkick, followed by another kick and standing moonsault, cover. Ibushi jumps out to the apron, only to be tripped and flattened to his back. Murphy covers before applying a headlock. Ibushi backs Murphy into the corner to get him off. Murphy nails Ibushi with running double knees. Ibushi gets up, unloading with kicks and strikes. Murphy catches Ibushi with a kick. Ibushi counters with a big kick of his own, into a German suplex, nearfall.

Ibushi goes up top, but Murphy moves. Murphy does some offensive maneuvers, but it's not enough as Ibushi kicks out. Murphy takes Ibushi up top. Ibushi gains control and drops Murphy with a big sit out powerbomb for the win.

Winner: Kota Ibushi - by pinfall (4:10)

Samoa Joe is interviewed backstage about facing Nakamura at TakeOver. Joe says he will fix this right now.


Joe comes out to the ring to address Regal's announcement from earlier. Joe says the match will not be happening because Regal didn't consult him. Regal finally comes out and says he is the GM, and his decisions are final. Joe further complains about how he earned many opportunities to win the title, while Nakamura has not. Regal says Joe will have to forfeit the title if he does not accept that Nakamura is his TakeOver opponent. Joe is suddenly shocked and decides to accept it, calling it the biggest mistake Regal has ever made.

Joe says Nakamura may not make it to Brooklyn at all. As Regal starts to walk away, Nakamura comes to the stage and targets Joe with his hand motions. Three weeks from Saturday, Nakamura challenges Joe in Brooklyn.
