Moments ago... Bobby Roode and William Regal walk out of Regal's office. They shake hands as Regal has to leave for a contract signing.

Tom Phillips & Corey Graves welcome us to the show as we are under two weeks away from TakeOver. Tonight's show will be headlined by Samoa Joe vs. Mojo Rawley.

Contract Signing

Regal is in the ring for the Women's Title contract signing. He first welcomes Bayley. Asuka comes out next with a black outfit/skirt on. Bayley grabs a mic and lists the woman she beat to get to the title in Brooklyn last year. If Brooklyn was her dream, then Dallas was her nightmare. Bayley says she wasn't prepared for how tough that match was going to be. But now she is. Bayley says the Asuka mystique is gone for her as she will become the first two-time NXT Women's Champion. Bayley signs the contract.

Asuka says Bayley doesn't have what it takes. Asuka offers her hand, but Bayley grabs the mic and says the last time Asuka was in a contract signing, she ended up on the mat. Bayley suggests Asuka just sign the contract and prepare for their match. Asuka signs. Regal confirms the bout. Asuka offers her hand again, but Bayley slaps it and exists the ring! Bayley turns around and gets is Asuka's face for a stare-down until Asuka leaves the ring.

The Authors of Pain are shown warming up with Paul Ellering backstage.


The Authors of Pain enter with Paul Ellering accompanying them. Rob Ryzin and Adrian Nails are already in the ring.

The first guy works Nails in the heel corner until Tattoo comes in with elbow drops. Rob Ryzin gets tagged in and clobbered by Tattoo. First guy is whipped into Rob as Tattoo follows with the run-in. The Authors of Pain slam Rob and Nails against each other back-first. AoP cover for the win.

Winners: The Authors of Pain - by pinfall (1:20)

Authors of Pain go to continue the attack them again when TM61 run out. Authors of Pain body slam them quickly and stand tall in the ring once more.

Andrea is backstage with Nakamura regarding the fact that Joe is not happy with Nak. Shinsuke says he isn't hard to find, but he will find Samoa Joe whenever he wants to.

Andrade "Cien" Almas makes his way to the ring for the next match. Angelo Dawkins enters next.

Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Angelo Dawkins

Lock up, Almas gets trapped in a left arm hold. Almas flips around into a headlock on Dawkins briefly. Almas does a couple more flips before nailing a head scissors takedown. Almas takes a big right hand to the face. Dawkins applies a headlock in the middle of the ring. Almas gets out and rolls Angelo up, two. Almas nails a dropkick off the ropes. Elbows in the corner from Cien. Almas connects with the running double knees, followed by a DDT for the win.

Winner: Andrade "Cien" Almas - by pinfall (2:21)

Bobby Roode comes out after the match concludes. Roode congratulates Almas, but not for the win. Roode calls the match impressive, but maybe sloppy. Roode says he's here to congratulate Almas for something else. He talked to Regal earlier today. Bobby feels TakeOver: Brooklyn needed a little more star power. Roode says that night needs to be something... Glorious! Roode announces that he will face Almas at TakeOver. Roode promises that TakeOver will be glorious.


Austin Aries is shown talking to Regal in his office. Aries shuts Regal's laptop before talking about how special TakeOver won't be if he's not on the card. Everyone seems to have an opponent except him. Regal says he has just the man, someone he knows very well: No Way Jose. Aries says Jose is out of his league, and he'll prove it at TakeOver.

Billie Kay makes her way to the ring. Liv Morgan enters next.

Billie Kay vs. Liv Morgan

Lock up, Kay runs the ropes and does a shoulderblock. Kay flips Liv over for a left arm lock on the mat. Morgan flips over Kay. She goes on to whip Kay across the ring after spinning her around with her feet. Kay knocks Morgan down with a big forearm strike. Billie holds Liv in the corner with her long leg. Kay nails a suplex into a cover. Kay keeps Liv in a head/left arm lock on the mat. Liv counters with a big clothesline, followed by a bulldog. Sloppy monkey flip from Morgan. Kay ducks a roundhouse and boots Liv for the win.

Winner: Billie Kay - by pinfall (3:10)

Rich Swann, Jack Gallagher, and Noam Dar from the CWC are shown at ringside. Graves & Phillips hype the epic Cruiserweight Classic. We see footage of Ciampa and Gargano going at it in the must-see main event. Gargano ended up winning the bout.

Gargano & Ciampa are in Regal's office. He hopes their CWC match doesn't affect their bond as a team because they will officially be challenging The Revival for the NXT Tag Team Titles at TakeOver. They promise to become the new champs.


Ember Moon debuts at TakeOver as a new vignette airs.

Patrick Clark and Tucker Knight are already in the ring as Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa enter.

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa vs. Patrick Clark & Tucker Knight

Gargano and Clark start with a lock up, which turns into a headlock on Johnny. Clark is put in a wrist hold on the mat. Ciampa comes in, trips Clark, allowing both Gargano and Ciampa to kick him. Ciampa chops Clark in the ropes, takes a shot at Knight on the apron. Clark runs over Ciampa, allowing Knight to get the tag. Knight flattens Tommaso in the corner, cover. Gargano tags in with a shoulderblock to Tucker. Gargano does the roll-through kick to the head. Gargano comes flying through the ropes with a spear. Ciampa tags in with a knee to Clark across the ring. Double kicks to Knight in the face corner. Gargano covers for the win following the double kick to the head.

Winners: Gargano & Ciampa - by pinfall (3:15)

We see footage of Hideo Itami's return win over Sean Maluta last week. Itami will be in action again next week.

Backstage, Mojo is asked about his match with Joe tonight. Mojo says Joe stuck his nose in Rawley's business twice, so Mojo is bringing the fight tonight.

TakeOver updates: No Way Jose vs. Austin Aries, Bobby Roode vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas confirmed.

Mojo Rawley makes his way to the ring for the main event. NXT Champion Samoa Joe enters last.

Mojo Rawley vs. Samoa Joe

Mojo comes running at Joe, unloading with punches until Joe fires back with a big knee lift and chop. Mojo runs over Joe three times with shoulderblocks. Joe rolls out to catch his breath. Mojo follows suit, where Joe headbutts him. Mojo screams in his face before Joe sends Rawley flying into the ring steps. Joe shops Mojo and tosses him back in the ring. Mojo tries fighting back with several strikes.

Joe ships Mojo across the ring for a corner elbow and enziguri. Joe kicks Mojo down, drops an elbow before covering. Mojo is put up top, where he elbows Joe away from him. Mojo does a crossbody. Joe tries for the Clutch, but Mojo gets out and slams Joe, two. Joe catches Mojo with a big corner slam. Joe drops him into the Clutch gfor the win.

Winner: Samoa Joe - by submission (4:33)

Joe wraps Mojo up again until Nakamura's music hits and he comes dancing out to the ring. Security comes running out to keep them separate. Nakamura still steps in the ring but stays in the corner. Joe tries to break free. Nakamura taunts him and twists his nose. Nak gets a cheap slap in while Joe is being restrained.
