Tom Phillips & Corey Graves welcome us to the show as this week's show is in Ottawa tonight. (Taped before last week's SmackDown Live.)

NXT Women's Champion Asuka makes her way to the ring first for the opening match. Nicole Matthews is already in the ring.

Asuka vs. Nicole Matthews

Asuka attacks the left leg, but Nicole reaches for the bottom rope. Nicole strikes Asuka a few times until Asuka fires back with a running hip attack. Asuka kicks Matthews in the chest several times. Nicole drops flat after a few kicks. Matthews jumps from the top, but Asuka grabs her and puts her in a cross arm breaker. Asuka kicks Matthews in the head and applies the Asuka Lock for the win.

Winner: Asuka - by submission (2:15)

Phillips and Graves discuss Sanity's attacks on Rich Swann, Kona Reeves, and No Way Jose last week. We see video highlights of the assaults. Jose and EY will clash again next.


Dasha interviews Samoa Joe about defending against Nakamura on December 3rd in Osaka, Japan. Joe calls himself the best in NXT, and there's no one close. Tye Dillinger walks up and requests an opportunity to prove himself tonight. Joe says Tye was already embarrassed in front of his country at TakeOver. Tye slaps Joe and runs off.

No Way Jose makes his way out. Sanity enters next as Eric Young is in action.

No Way Jose vs. Eric Young

Jose is backed into the corner. Jose fires back with several right hands in the next corner. Jose sends EY flying with a back body drop. EY rolls out of the ring to regroup. Sanity steps on the ring apron, but Jose pulls Eric back into the ring. Young is whipped over the ropes and out of the ring once again.


Outside of the ring, Jose chops Young. Jose fights off Wolfe as he tries to get back in the ring. The distraction allows Young to gain control. Back in the ring, EY goes for a cover. Young works the neck and covers again. Eric stomps on Jose in the corner. Young puts Jose in a hanging dragon sleeper from the top rope. EY covers again, using his forearm against the face. Jose is put in a headlock. Jose takes EY down with clubs and a hip toss/neckbreaker combo. Jose does a big clothesline, cover.

Jose winds up and knocks Wolfe off the apron. Jose connects with a big right hand and covers EY, but Fulton and Cross distract the ref. EY strikes Jose and nails the wheelbarrow finisher for the win.

Winner: Eric Young - by pinfall (7:20)

Nikki Cross heads back down to the ring and nails a missile dropkick on Jose before the group finally leaves.


Next week, we hear from the new NXT Tag Team Champions #DIY.

Dasha asks Asuka about her change of persona. Asuka says there is no change - she is Asuka, the NXT Women's Champion, and the best. Asuka says she wants competition, but there isn't any left.

NXT Champion Samoa Joe makes his way out first for the main event. In an interview, Dillinger says that if he can't hang with Joe, maybe he doesn't belong here. Tye is going out to prove himself. Dillinger enters.

Samoa Joe vs. Tye Dillinger

Joe takes Tye to the corner as they throw punches back and forth. Joe delivers some brutal chops. Tye chops back and throws forearms in a corner. Joe fires back until Dillinger counters with a dropkick. Joe rolls out of the ring.


Tye takes Joe to the corner for ten punches to the face. Dillinger splashes back into the ring from the apron. Joe drops Tye with a crushing knee breaker. Joe kicks Tye in the legs a few times. Joe rolls Tye into a knee bar. Dillinger reaches the bottom rope to break the hold. Tye comes back with several punches, but gets flattened with an elbow to the face. Elbow drop follows, cover. Joe continues to kick the knee. Joe punches Tye with rapid fire in the corner. Tye comes back with multiple slaps to the face. Joe counters with a powerslam, cover.

Joe nails a snap suplex before twisting the left knee in the ropes for a few seconds. Tye chops Joe's chest a few times. Joe takes Tye back to the corner for a big enziguri.


Dillinger gets to his feet as Joe throws more punches to the face. Dillinger starts to come back with strikes and chops to the chest. Tye nails a clothesline to knock the champ off his feet. The knee pad comes down. Joe goes to slam Tye, but Tye slips through with a roll up. Dillinger lifts Joe, but he escapes. Joe spikes Tye out of the corner. Joe nails a powerbomb, cover. The Boston Crab is applied. Joe transitions into the crossface. Joe rolls Tye into the Clutch and Dillinger passes out.

Winner: Samoa Joe - by submission (15:18)

Replays are shown. Joe will defend against Nakamura in Osaka this Saturday. (I would assume footage will air on next week's episode.) Dillinger gets to his feet as the crowd chants him on to end the show.
