The show opens with a video package looking at Dillinger, Jose & Strong vs. Sanity taking place tonight. Tom Phillips, Nigel McGuinness, and Percy Watson welcome us to the show from commentary as they hype TakeOver.

1) Andrade "Cien" Almas def. Oney Lorcan via the Hammer Lock DDT in 11:24.

As you could imagine, Almas and Lorcan worked a hard-hitting match from bell to bell. Lorcan did a somersault out of the ring off the turnbuckle to turn the tide. Lorcan hit a huge half-and-half suplex for a nearfall. Almas goes onto nail the Hammer Lock DDT for the win in a show-stealer.

Backstage, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano cut promos on creating their next moment.

Another vignette airs for Aleister Black.

The commentators hype Asuka vs. Ember Moon and once again discuss how dangerous The Eclipse is.

2) Asuka def. Priscilla via the Asuka Lock in 3 minutes.

After the bell is rung, Asuka grabs a mic and tells Ember Moon that this is her fate. Asuka goes right on the attack until she gets slapped across the face. Priscilla eats a nasty jumping hip attack to the jaw. After continuing the attack, Asuka drops the jobber with the Asuka Lock.

After the match, Asuka cuts a promo in Japanese before saying "no Eclipse."

Backstage, The Revival talks about how they've run through both teams and will do it again at TakeOver. Next week, Akam vs. Gargano vs. Wilder will take place to preview TakeOver.

We see a preview for the Nakamura vs. Roode rematch.

Dillinger, Jose & Strong hype tonight's main event with a brief promo.

Last week - Kassius Ohno talks about his loss to Roode when Elias Samson interrupts with singing and guitar-playing. Samson doesn't think Ohno belongs here. Ohno then goes on to challenge Samson to a "Loser Leaves NXT" match. Samson accepts.

It is announced Aleister Black will debut at TakeOver in a match against Andrade "Cien" Almas. Almas cuts a promo backstage in Spanish.

3) Sanity vs. Roderick Strong, No Way Jose & Tye Dillinger ends in no contest after 8 minutes.

A big brawl breaks out before Strong and Dain actually start the match. Strong does a great job at clearing the ring and working everyone a few different times throughout. Everyone gets involved, leading to the the ref calling for the bell.

The brawl continues as Nikki Cross gets involved. Another woman, apparently Ruby Riot, comes out to counter Cross. The faces end up clearing the ring to end the show.
