The show opens with a recap video of Braun Strowman attacking Roman Reigns last week.

Strowman comes out and cuts a promo on getting rid of Roman. Kurt Angle interrupts and announces Strowman vs. Reigns for Payback. Strowman is mad and demands competition for tonight before walking out.

Mickie James vs. Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax in a #1 contender's match is announced.

Seth Rollins joins the commentary team for the next match.

1) Samoa Joe def. Chris Jericho via the Coquina Clutch in 9:05.

Afterwards, Joe grabs a mic and calls out Rollins from commentary. He talks about snapping Seth's ligaments the night he debuted. Joe says he's going to defend Triple H and Stephanie at Payback.

Backstage, Gallows & Anderson walk past Elias Samson strumming his guitar. In another location, Braun Strowman attacks Goldust and R-Truth.

Gallows & Anderson, Enzo & Cass cut promos before their match.

2) Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson def. Enzo & Big Cass via pinfall in 11 minutes.

The Miz and Maryse make their way out for MizTV. It doesn't take long for Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose to interrupt. Ambrose works his home state of Ohio. Miz talks about representing WWE superstars, while Ambrose is just a "wrassler." Ambrose fires back with a passionate promo about working his ass off. Maryse butts in before Dean takes off his jacket and beats Miz up.

Backstage, Strowman is seen dragging Kalisto around. Big Show attacks Braun and tells him to pick on someone his own size.

TJ Perkins comes out sporting a dark jacket for his persona change. Crusierweight Champion Neville comes out to ringside before the match starts. Before the two shake hands, Austin Aries walks out and sits by Neville.

3) TJ Perkins def. Jack Gallagher via Detonation Kick in 10 minutes. Towards the end, Perkins tossed Gallagher into Aries at ringside, leading to Neville tripping Aries off the apron to set up a distraction.

Backstage, Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews share words. Then Mike Rome interviews The Hardy Boyz. Sheamus & Cesaro walk up to officially welcome the new champs back. Without any ladders, Sheamus says it'll be an honor to beat The Hardy's.

4) #1 Contender's Match: Alexa Bliss def. Sasha Banks, Mickie James & Nia Jax via pinfall in 13:42. Bliss knocked Nia out of the ring after she hit Sasha with a Samoan Drop. Bliss covered Banks to steal the win in her hometown!

Backstage, Big Show cuts a promo on facing Braun later.

Curt Hawkins issues an open challenge... a cleared Finn Balor answers!

5) Finn Balor def. Curt Hawkins via Coup de Grace in 36 seconds.

Mike Rome interviews Chris Jericho backstage about Kevin Owens. Elias Samson drifts behind them, leading to The Drifter being added to The List.

Bray Wyatt delivers a sermon for Randy Orton.

Backstage, Alicia Fox and Dana Brooke are talking when Emma walks up and makes it out to look like Brooke was making fun of Fox for something. Fox stomped off as Emma teased Dana about standing on her own two feet.

6) Jeff Hardy def. Cesaro via Swanton Bomb in 13 minutes. Afterwards, Matt and Jeff shake hands with Sheamus and Cesaro.

Heath Slater & Rhyno interrupt Mike Rome's promo on Strowman. After a few words, Strowman walks by and heads to the ring.

Austin Aries vs. TJ Perkins is announced for 205 Live.

Braun and Big Show brawl outside the ring before the bell. Braun is sent into the ring steps and then the barricade.

7) Braun Strowman vs. Big Show ends in no contest when they do a big suplex spot from the top to implode the ring in 12 minutes. Strowman rises to his feet and stands tall to end the show.
