The show opens with Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcoming Jerry Lawler to the announce table. We go to the ring, where The Miz, Maryse, Curtis Axel, and Bo Dallas are standing for MizTV. Before Miz can speak, Kurt Angle comes out and tries to address the lack of an IC Title match at SummerSlam. Miz interrupts and is furious. Angle goes on to announce a battle royal will take place right now, and Miz will defend his title against the winner next week. Miz will also defend his title at No Mercy.

Big Show, The Hardy Boyz, and Finn Balor get their entrances aired before the break.

2) Enzo Amore def. Noam Dar via pinfall in 3 minutes.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar come down to the ring to talk about Braun Strowman. Paul brags and brags about what Braun has done the last couple weeks. Brock finally takes the mic and says, "Suplex city, b*tch" before walking off.

The Raw Tag Team Champions come out as Seth is in singles action tonight.

3) Cesaro def. Seth Rollins via uppercut and then roll-up in 10:20 when Ambrose and Sheamus brawling outside provided a distraction. After, Sheamus grabs a mic and announces he's facing Dean next.

4) Dean Ambrose def. Sheamus via Dirty Deeds and an assist from Seth in 10:48.

Backstage, Emma and Mickie James share words about Emma's attempt at being relevant again. If Emma loses their next match, she can't say she started the women's evolution anymore.

5) Emma def. Mickie James via roll-up in 1:34.

Kurt Angle welcomes John Cena to the ring for their No Mercy contract signing. Cena signs as he says he knows Roman doesn't want to fight him. Reigns comes out and tells Cena he's not as big of a deal as thinks he is. Roman reminds everyone that he retired Undertaker at WrestleMania. Cena goes off, mentioning that the crowd wants him to turn heel, and goes on to call Roman a cheap-ass, corporate-made Cena boot leg. Roman says the crowd boos Cena because he sucks. Roman calls Cena a fake b*tch after Cena tries to break the fourth wall and explain what a promo is.

Roman says he busts his tail every weekend while Cena goes on the Today Show. Roman says Cena buries young talent, but he won't let Cena bury him. Cena calls Roman a fool. Cena brings up the fact that everyone thinks he holds a golden shovel, but he doesn't hold the keys. Cena says he hasn't main-evented Mania in 5 years, and opened SummerSlam this year. Cena was proud to win the US Title at this stage in his career, while Roman saw it as a demotion. Cena says he is better a being part time than Roman is at full time.

Gallows & Anderson come out when Roman flips the table. They say there's too many egos, and neither of them are good brothers. Angle books a tag match.

6) John Cena & Roman Reigns def. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson via Spear in 6 minutes.

Elias says Dusty Rhodes called him the Elvis of WWE, so now he has a new song to debut for Memphis. Jerry Lawler leaves commentary and interrupts.
