Our very own Ryan McClure attended last night’s WWE Live Event in Charleston, South Carolina. Check out down below for the results for the show and his review!

My girlfriend and I were attending our third live event together. We’ve been to one Smackdown Live Event and two Raw Live Events including tonight.

We got to the coliseum at around 7 with thirty minutes to spare before showtime. We decided to head to the merchandise table before the show started, but with only one merchandise table at the entire coliseum, it was too busy to wait in line for before the start of the show.

When we got to our seats, we had a few minutes to wait before the start, and the show was nowhere near sold out. Probably about 65 perecent full tonight, as this was the least packed show we have attended within the past year. However, there were tons of families and children all around, definitely family oriented.

Match One: The B-Team defeated Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, and Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal to retain the Raw Tag Team Championships

This match was a fun opener to get the crowd going, and to my surprise, the B-Team had great reactions the entire time, along with Hardy and Wyatt. The entire match was comical as the B-Team won with a roll-up on Jinder Mahal.

Match Two: Cedric Alexander defeated Buddy Murphy to retain the Cruiserweight Championship

This match was fantastic, and went on a lot longer that most expected. I’d say it was at least 12 minutes long. I felt bad for Murphy because he had zero reaction coming out due to no one knowing who he was, but a decent pop for Cedric.

Match Three: Chad Gable, Heath Slater, and Rhyno defeated The Ascension and Curt Hawkins

Rhyno was the most over from the six men, with tons of ‘ECW’ chants and ‘We Want Rhyno’ chants. As the match goes, not much to talk about due to these men haven’t been seen on televsion so there wasn’t much to invest in.

Match Four: Mojo Rawley defeated No Way Jose

Jose’s entrance was fun, but that was it. It was funny because the woman sitting three seats down from us was pepping talking Jose the entire time, even in defeat. Plus, my girlfriend danced to his entrance.

Match 5: Sasha Banks and Ember Moon defeated The Riott Squad

My girlfriend was upset because Bayley didn’t show for tonight’s show, but was happy “her girlfriend was there” instead. A very short match but decent, with an awkward finish of Sasha rolling Liv up for a pinfall.

Match Six: Bobby Roode defeated Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens knows how to reel a crowd in with his antics. He grabbed a mic during the match and said he was leaving. Roode ended up pulling him back and the two had a good match for the time they were given. We saw the end where Roode hit a spine buster on Owens for the win.

INTERMISSION

Match Seven: Bobby Lashley defeated Elias

After ten minutes of intermission, Elias was in the middle of the ring and strummed some cords. He did his routine and told the crowd he had a song to sing. He ran us down, calling us stupid and said Charleston was the worst town to be in, and ran down us for the lack of sports team we have. Bobby Lashley interupted and had a decent match.

Match Eight: Ronda Rousey and Natalya defeated Alexa Bliss and Alicia Fox

Everyone was anticipating Rousey’s appearance all night and she received a massive reaction from the crowd. Alicia and Nattie worked most of the tag as Bliss and Ronda were limited to action. It ended with Fox tapping out to Ronda from an Arm Bar.

Main Event: Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns defeated Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler

Rollins received a huge reaction from the crowd and was adored. Reigns got about a 70/30 reaction with the cheers outweighing the boos. A great main event between all four men with Drew and Ziggler working Rollins and Reigns over most of the match before a Spear and Curb Stomp put an end to the match, with Seth pinning Dolph.

After the match, Rollins grabbed a microphone and he thanked everyone for showing up and led the crowd in a happy birthday song to Dean Malinko to send everyone home happy.

Overall, this was a very good show and a good main event to end the night. It was odd that Braun Strowman and Finn Balor were not advertised nor appeared on the show, but we had so much fun and can’t wait to go back to another show.
