Neville saved what was turning out to be a bland encounter between the WWE cruiserweights at Sunday’s Roadblock: End of the Line pay-per-view by making a surprise return after Rich Swann retained the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against TJ Perkins and The Brian Kendrick. We have details on the aftermath at this link.
In the video embedded in the player above, Booker T discusses what Neville means for the Cruiserweight Division.
For those that missed the moment at the pay-per-view, here's an excerpt from our coverage:
After the match, Neville's music hits, and Neville makes his way down applauding Swann. Neville blasts Swann with a huge forearm, then takes out Perkins. Neville continues the assault, screaming in Swann's face and throwing him out of the ring. Neville throws Swann into the barricade, then does the same with Perkins. Neville throws Perkins and Swann back into the ring and he follows. Neville stands over both men before making his way out of the ring and up the aisle.
Many fans have been hoping Neville would be revamped in the cruiserweight division as he’s been lost in the shuffle since being called up to the main WWE roster. While injuries haven’t helped him, Neville is seen as one of the primary names that revamped NXT to help make it what it is today, however, WWE has been able to capitalize on that hype with him on the main roster.
WWE posted the following video of Neville responding to his surprise return:
He’s been victimized by WWE creative having nothing for him.
