WWE Smackdown Leaving Friday Nights On SyFy

WWE Smackdown is leaving Friday nights on SyFy… for real this time.

A move back to Thursday nights was heavily rumored in August with SyFy reflecting as much on their official schedule beginning on October 2, 2014. This after a photo of a newly painted WWE production truck also promoting a move to Thursdays. WWE told us a move had been contemplated but no decision had been made.

October 2, 2014 has came and gone, with SyFy updating their schedule without a move. However, the network has announced a new series called 12 Monkeys premiering on January 16, 2015 at 9/8c. This is a Friday during Smackdown's current timeslot. You can check out the new series -- promoting the January 16 premiere date -- at this link.
