Deadline.com is reporting that WWE Studios and Lionsgate urban label Codeblack Films have agreed to a deal to co-produce and co-finance a slate of films. Their first film is an action thriller called Brother’s Blood and will star Trey Songz.
Codeblack and WWE will collaborate on marketing, with WWE using their weekly television, social media and the WWE Network to promote it. Codeblack will handle distribution.
Below is a synopsis of the film courtesy of Deadline:
Brother’s Blood is set on the mean streets of a city in decay, where a recently released convict begins to take murderous revenge against his childhood friends, whom he believes let him take the fall for a crime they collectively committed. As the bodies start piling up, one of the friends (Songz), now a cop, will stop at nothing to put an end to the rampage and right the wrongs of their violent past.
