Last Thursday, WWE reported their first quarter earnings for 2015. As part of the earnings, they released the traditional number of pay-per-view buys for the quarter. Those numbers are as follows:
Royal Rumble - 145,000 traditional buys (compared to 467,000 in 2014)
WWE Fastlane - 46,000 traditional buys (compared to 183,000 in 2014 as Elimination Chamber)
Wrestlemania 31 - 259,000 traditional buys (compared to 690,000 in 2014)
These numbers are no longer relevant like they were prior to the launch of the WWE Network in February 2014. As you can see, the traditional pay-per-view business is being replaced by WWE Network subscriptions.
