Zack Ryder tweeted on Thursday that he was in Birmingham, Alabama and “not for a vacation” and is set to undergo knee surgery.
WWE and sports fans in general recognize Birmingham as the home of the world renowned Andrews Institute, where athletes go for orthopedic treatment by Dr. James Andrews and Dr. Jeffrey Dugas.
As we reported exclusively in our Members content, the fear coming out of this week’s WWE television tapings was that Ryder had a torn knee ligament that could require surgery and he could be out four to six months.
It appears as if that fear is now a reality.
